COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

  •    Why do I feel ‘off’ after COVID?

Some individuals experience mild to severe lingering symptoms after being diagnosed with COVID-19. There are no statistics yet as to how many COVID patients face these long-term symptoms, but it is known that the severity of COVID does not correlate with these lasting symptoms.

  •    Who might have ongoing COVID symptoms?

Anyone who had COVID can experience long-term neurological symptoms months after they were infected. It does not matter if the COVID infection was mild or if the individual had no initial symptoms.

  •    How can neuro-cognitive rehabilitation help post-COVID patients feel back to normal?

The lasting effects COVID-19 is having on long-hauler patients are similar to the effects of a brain injury. Nexus is a leading provider of neurorehabilitation in the country, and believes through these therapies and treatment modalities, individuals will begin to heal and develops skills and coping mechanisms to help them do better in life and at work.

  •    What is the patient criteria for the post-COVID services?

The program is available for anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 at least 30 days ago, who is experiencing neurological symptoms that were not noticed prior to contracting COVID.
