The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordination of employee scheduling for the residential and nursing departments. In addition, this position coordinates the entering of outcome data for the facility.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures residential and nursing departments are staffed appropriately.
Accepts all staff call offs between 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
Staffs departments to minimize overtime and agency usage
Maintains call in log for residential and nursing
Communicates to Residential managers any trending time and attendance issues.
Manages the outcomes process for the organization.
Coordinates interviews and assist with the hiring process for LSSs, CNAs, and nurses.
Demonstrates ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Reviews timecards as needed to ensure staff compliance with schedules and taking lunch breaks
Monitors scheduling and ensures adequate staffing of PRN’s at all times.
Initiates assignments without hesitation and when completed seeks out other assignments.
Communicates in a courteous, respectful and kind manner to staff, residents, visitors, telephone callers, etc.
Promotes positive attitudes among staff.
Utilizes the PRN staffing list to fill shifts as needed.
Serves as resource, role model, support system and trainer to staff to encourage growth and development.
Does not show favoritism towards staff members. Is consistent in supervision of staff at all times.
Exercises good judgment when addressing staff complaints and resolving staff problems.
Maintains employee confidentiality at all times.
Assist with tours of the facility as directed.
Serves as the Assisted Living Manager to an assigned residential house if needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum of one-year experience in staffing position.
Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.
Have a valid Assisted Living Manager certification within 90 days of employment.
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and good driving record.
Must obtain a tuberculosis test with the first 14 days of employment and on an annual basis thereafter.
Must pass a criminal background, misconduct registry and OIG/GSA Sanction check.
