Corporate Director of Clinical Operations

The Corporate Director of Clinical Operations is the leader who ensures Nexus always delivers the highest possible standard of care. This unique leadership position requires a self-directed, inspirational leader with an unyielding passion for advancing clinical care and improving outcomes. This person is also able to effectively work with facility leaders and foster positive working relationships across disciplines and the organization. This position leads monthly Clinical Operations meetings with key facility team members to share best practices and ensure consistency. The position will also ensure clinical programming is consistent with current evidence-based standards of practice and that standard operating procedures are followed. This person will also serve as a resource to the facilities in the areas of accreditation, quality, and risk management. Also, this position will work directly with clinical leadership on productivity, staffing and acuity and will ensure staffing committee meetings are in place and held regularly.


  •  Chair monthly clinical operations meetings
  •  Round regularly in the facilities and conduct audits or investigations as needed
  • Regularly review the Incident Management System and Ethics Hotline reports
  •  Act as a liaison with Nexus’ insurance carriers regarding any potential risk issues
  •  Ensure each facility is following all mandated state and federal guidelines
  • Ensure each facility is survey ready at all times
  •  Conducts or coordinate in-services as needed for system-wide education
  • Work with CCO and/or DON to ensure staffing levels are maintained to budget

Job Requirements


  • Minimum of 10 years in Clinical Hospital Management

Education Required

  • Minimum of a Masters in a health-related field (Nursing preferred)

Additional Information


  • Currently licensed in a clinical specialty
  • Certified in AHA BLS/CPR
  • Must obtain current tuberculosis test within the first fourteen (14) days of employment and annually after that.
  • Maintain current certification in good standing during employment with this facility, or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire
